Some people think that
Because they can't paint like Picasso
That they're not a good artist.

Some people think that
Because they can't write like Shakespeare
That they're not a good artist.

Some people think that
Because they can't sing like legends
That they're not a good artist.

Some people think that
Because they can't act like professionals
That they're not a good artist.

Some people think that
Because they can't animate like Nickelodeon Studios
That they're not a good artist.

Stop complaining.
Just because you're not elite
Doesn't mean you're not a good artist.

Art comes from within.
It's what you feel,
It's what you experience,
It's personal.

To be a good artist
You need heart.
Nothing less than that.
You may not be perfectly skilled,
But if you love what you do,
And give it 110 percent,
You're a good artist.

'Good' not meaning the best,
Per se,
But meaning
'Doing something good for the world',
Expressing your emotions
On a blank canvas.
'Good' not meaning to judge skill,
But meant to judge character.
All art means something,
It can express multiple reasons,
But the true reason is known
Only to the artist.

Paintbrush,
Pen,
Microphone,
Costume,
Computer screen.
Your art mediums are at your fingertips.
What you do with them
Is up to you.

So,
Maybe you don't paint like Picasso,
Or write like Shakespeare,
Or sing like legends,
Or act like professionals,
Or animate like Nick Studios...

But it doesn't mean you're not a good artist.
That's entirely for you to decide,
Not the works of those before you.
